Gantry 5

Bulletin N51 octobre 2024  On October 7, 2023, the colonial conflict, which has been ongoing for 75 years in Palestine, experienced a bloody and unprecedented episode. The Palestinian Resistance (armed militiamen from Hamas, the PFLP, the DFLP, Islamic Jihad) emerged from the open-air prison that the Gaza Strip is for millions of Palestinians, a veritable concentration camp, and attacked Israeli soldiers and civilians, members of the oppressive colonial state.
Since a year since the bloody war waged by the Zionist colonial state against the colonized Palestinians entered this acute and genocidal phase, anyone who knows the reality can make several observations.
The Zionist colonial project appears in its raw truth, in all its horror. It is simply about finishing the job that Ben-Gurion left unfinished in 1948. In short, to drive out as many Palestinians as possible and kill as many as possible.
This genocide, which continues before our eyes, the paragons of "democracy" and "Human Rights", politicians, "experts", or "journalists" in the service of Western imperialism, work day after day to hide it, to silence it. They do everything to dehumanize and make the Palestinians invisible, not to mention the systematic destruction by the Zionists of hospitals, schools, universities, UN structures, all places of refuge, historical buildings in Gaza, including Muslim and Christian religious buildings.
On the contrary, they constantly relay Zionist propaganda, the official narrative of the colonial state.
First of all, there is the false story of October 7: the fabrications, such as the decapitated babies or the rapes; the Hannibal procedure, never mentioned; the passing over in silence of the fact that, in the area attacked by the Palestinian Resistance, there were, in 1948, 16 Palestinian towns and villages, which were destroyed, and their inhabitants killed or driven towards Gaza.
It is also the resumption, against all evidence, of the leitmotif: "Israel has the right to defend itself", while it has been the aggressor for 75 years and that, curiously, the right to defend themselves of the Palestinian and Lebanese Resistance is never mentioned.
The military goals of the Zionists are not achieved. "What this war tells us is that it doesn't work," as Elias Sambar says. The Palestinian Resistance is still standing in Gaza and the Lebanese Resistance is preventing the penetration of the genocidal army into the south of the country.
The repression in the Western imperialist world against activists in solidarity with Palestine, anti-colonialists or simple supporters of the ceasefire is unheard of. The instrumentalization of anti-Semitism, which means that even Jews are accused of it, the complacency towards the unacceptable statements of those who advocate genocide have reached unprecedented proportions, as has the police and judicial repression.
The so-called "two-state solution" shows its true face, it is unrealistic, unjust. It is only a screen to continue colonization, as we have seen since Oslo. This "solution" is the denial of the return of refugees. Where could those who were expelled from Haifa or from the south of Israel return? Moreover, it does not abolish the colonial nature of the Zionist state. It is a way of saying: "Continue to be a racist state, an apartheid state, continue to oppress, to discriminate.
So, one year after the start of the genocide, the Revolutionary Communist Party supports more than ever the anti-colonialist fight of the Palestinian Resistance and that of the Lebanese Resistance against the occupying army which wants to invade its country and which Netanyahu threatens with the same fate as Gaza.
The Revolutionary Communist Party intends to continue to bring together all those who want an immediate ceasefire, an end to the massacre of Palestinians and who speak out for peace. For us, this means supporting the fundamental demands of the Palestinian Resistance: an immediate end to the Zionist military occupation, the dismantling of settlements, the return of all refugees and the formation of a Palestinian state on the territory of Mandatory Palestine.
