Bulletin N51 octobre 2024 A human tragedy is unfolding in the Jabaliya camp, declared a military zone and completely besieged since October 12. In the few images we have, we can see buildings in ruins with debris scattered on the ground.  Many people, including families and individuals, are moving on the road. Some use three-wheeled vehicles, while others walk on foot. Palestinians carry their belongings as they flee the areas north of Gaza City, in the northern Gaza Strip.
Starving, exhausted and forced to move under fire: these are the hellish conditions described by residents of the northern part of the Gaza Strip. According to Giora Eiland, a retired major general, former Israeli army strategist, and former head of Israel's National Security Council, the Israeli army has announced that it intends to starve to death "  the approximately 5,000 Hamas members  " present in the area.
The approximately 100,000 residents of Jabaliya have already been particularly hard hit: a busy intersection in the heart of the camp was the scene of the first Israeli strike the day after the attack of October 7, 2023, killing 50 people and injuring several others. A dozen other massacres like this one will follow. These repeated massacres, although increasingly deadly, have not succeeded in driving out all the residents of this camp, themselves descendants of refugees from the Nakba and aware of Israel's expansionist ambitions. The current operation comes at a time when the Israeli army had already announced, twice, in May and July 2024, the end of its military operations in northern Gaza.
At the Abu Charar roundabout, in the heart of the camp, the scenes are apocalyptic: roads disfigured and buildings gutted, making the old urban landscape unrecognizable. Residents attribute this destruction to the Israeli army’s use of robots loaded with explosives, deployed indiscriminately. A video broadcast by Al-Jazeera in May 2024 confirmed the deployment of such weapons in Jabaliya, controlled remotely by Israeli forces.
On October 6, 2024, Avichay Adraee, the Israeli army's Arabic-language spokesman, declared the northern part of the enclave a military zone and ordered the evacuation of its residents. However, as at the beginning of the war a year ago, residents who tried to evacuate the area, even though they were using designated routes, were also targeted by the Israeli army.
Every place is a legitimate target for Israeli fighter jets, always abundantly supplied by the United States. In their sights is also the last bakery in the north of the enclave. It was reduced to ashes during an Israeli bombardment on October 8, 2024. The last flour mill burned the next day. In May 2024, several United Nations agencies, including the World Food Program (WFP), already declared a “  widespread famine  ” in northern Gaza. Today, residents have not received water or food “  for at least twenty days  ,” says a resident of Jabaliya.
Since their encirclement by the Israeli army, the inhabitants have been faced with a dilemma: surrender or starve. This operation seems to be inspired by Giora Eiland's plan proposed as early as September 4, 2024: "Not that we are suggesting that you leave the northern part of the Strip, but we are ordering you to leave the area... No supplies will enter this part of the territory." Starving the population after having driven them out of this area is part of a broader plan that aims to annex northern Gaza, after having emptied it of its population.
To carry out its enterprise, the government of Benjamin Netanyahu is once again seeking to keep witnesses away, especially journalists, who are still banned from entering the Palestinian enclave. And, of course, there is a total blockade in our media on this massacre.
One of the last journalists in Jabaliya, Hassan Hamad, 19, was killed on October 6, targeted by a sniper shot in his home. According to Al-Jazeera, he received threats from the Israeli army ordering him to stop filming. Fadi Al-Whidi, a cameraman for the pan-Arab channel, was also filming the bombings and military operations in the heart of Jabaliya on October 9, when he was shot and wounded, along with his colleague Tamer Lobod. Fadi Al-Whidi's body lay on the side of the road for several hours before he could be taken to hospital. Both journalists remain in critical condition.
Anas Al-Sharif, a correspondent for the Qatari channel, is the only professional journalist who continues to broadcast images from this area. He is also threatened by the Israeli army via WhatsApp. Assuming the worst, like most residents, he shared a poignant farewell message on his X account on October 14.
Since then, the Zionist army has bombed two of the hospitals in the northern Strip, the Al-Aqsa hospital, with this image of people burned alive that we have all seen, and the Indonesian hospital. Among the images circulating on social networks, since the night of October 22 to 23, there is one showing the corpses of two little girls. Or, for several days, that of a little girl carrying her little sister on her back and walking on a road, fleeing the Zionist hordes. We also see people on the roads, surrounded by heavily armed Zionist soldiers, schools burning. This is the true face of the Zionist entity.
Echoes from Palestine, Lebanon and France
A 10-year-old Palestinian boy was shot in the head by an Israeli sniper on October 22 as he threw a rock at an armored vehicle in Nablus.
In Lebanon, the city of Tyre, one of the oldest in the world, considered the pearl of the Mediterranean, is under Israeli bombs on October 23. Founded by the Phoenicians, Tyre has known the Persians, the Greeks of the Hellenistic period, the Romans, the Arabs, the Crusaders, the Mamelukes, the Ottomans and is now threatened with death by the Zionist fascists.
70,000 people took part in the Palestine solidarity demonstration in Brussels on 20 October.
From the Gaza Health Ministry, October 23: "  We ask the world, which has failed to provide us with protection, food and medicine, to just provide us with shrouds to bury our dead.  "
Dr. Hossam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, said on October 22 that the hospital is turning into a mass grave. There are no more shrouds to bury the dead and fuel supplies are running out. The Zionist army is directly targeting the hospital buildings, using Quadricopter drones and artillery. Describing the situation as catastrophic, Dr. Abu Safiya called on international institutions to intervene directly to save as many patients and wounded as possible in the hospital wards.
On October 14, in order to target a supposed member of Hezbollah, the genocidal army bombed a Christian village in southern Lebanon, Aito, which was hosting Shiite refugees, resulting in 24 deaths. The daily life of crimes perpetrated by the Zionist entity.
On October 20, the Zionist air force bombed Beirut 12 times in 12 hours.
"  The Palestinians must pay a price for their aggression and hatred, for the 1,200 dead, that price is land.  " Meyer Habib, well-known Zionist fascist.
"  Gaza is ours for eternity  ," Itamar Ben Gvir, fascist minister of internal security in the Zionist government.
"  Recalling the obvious, namely that the attacks and crimes of October 7 are closely related to the Israeli occupation, is considered obscene, support for Hamas. Their world is simple, binary as it should be: there are democracies, of which Israel is a beacon, and there is Islamist barbarity, of which Hamas is the hideous face. By contrast, we can hear explicit calls for murder, freely expressed in audiovisual media, which justify themselves by Israel's right to defend itself, by the need to eliminate the killers of Jews in the name of the lessons of the Holocaust. Many of these remarks could have been the subject of legal proceedings for apology for terror if they had been uttered in the opposite direction. None of this happened, any more than the indictment of these thousands of young Franco-Israelis who fight in the ranks of the army and actively participate in this potentially genocidal war enterprise.  » Rony Brauman, extract from the preface to the " Black Book of Gaza ".
The war aims of the Zionists are now fully exposed
No one can ignore the ongoing massacres in northern Gaza, where the occupation soldiers are now placing explosives on the ground in targets for their planes, so that the impact is as deadly as possible. No one can ignore these blind bombings, in Gaza as in Lebanon. No one can ignore that the barbaric army of the "only democracy in the Middle East" is instructing its snipers to shoot children in the head.
What has been happening in Gaza for a year is an unprecedented horror. No restraint, no ethics, no minimum respect for the human condition. Instead, mass murders; blind bombings under the name of "  targeted strikes  "; war crimes and crimes against humanity; the use of the most sophisticated weapons against a civilian population deprived of everything including food, water, health care; a destructive rage against any school or university establishment and all traces of the Palestinian archaeological past, both Muslim and Christian; the encouragement of pogroms by settlers protected by the regime's army; the widespread use of torture, both psychological and physical; sordid engineering using communication devices widespread in civil society to kill and disable anyone, including innocent children; in short, absolute extermination meticulously orchestrated by white-collar assassins... that only a deeply racist and genocidal mentality can animate.
And in Lebanon, the same process is taking place. If it encounters much greater resistance, the ground progress of the invading army is almost zero, the intentions are the same. When the Zionist army bombs the hospitals of Beirut and prepares to destroy Tyre, we find the symbols of the genocidal war of Gaza (destruction of hospitals and the oldest monuments). Tyre, Herodotus wrote while visiting the City in 450 BCE, archaeology has confirmed, is a city that dates back 4,700 years. When, like the Zionists, one has no history and wants to make one up from scratch, one destroys that of others, so that it does not compete with the lying story.
Erasing all traces of the presence of Palestinians in northern Gaza or of the Lebanese south of the Litani River is part of the same desire: to enlarge the Zionist state, to constitute the famous Greater Israel, with, initially, the annexation of northern Gaza (and probably then, the entire Strip) of the southern part of Lebanon, the West Bank and the Syrian Golan, already occupied. There is no longer any doubt about it, the fight against the Palestinian Resistance and that of Lebanon only intervenes because these forces oppose this project and defend their land.
Be careful, because the plans of the fanatics, Ben Gvir and Smotrich include a larger territory, given by God to the Jewish people according to the legend that serves as an argument for quite a few Zionists, now. This territory includes encroachments on Egypt (and part of the left bank of the Suez Canal), northern Saudi Arabia and pieces of Jordan and Iraq. Behind the smoke of the messianic discourse lies the reality of the confrontations within imperialism. Israel is and remains the pawn of Western imperialism in the region, it is a question of making it the local dominant, at the expense of rival imperialist powers (Iran) or simply dissatisfied with the systematic race to war driven and organized by the dominant imperialism (Arabia, Egypt). The Zionist state is pursuing both its own mission of substitute colonization (to drive out or kill the residents of the indigenous peoples) and the one it is charged with by the dominant imperialism (to expand and dominate all the countries in the region). This task has certainly not been accomplished, the Resistance is still alive , including in the Jabaliya camp, in the north of the Strip, where the Merkeva tanks often have bad encounters, but it is indeed the goal of the Zionists, of all Zionists, not just Netanyahu and his fascist friends, it is the realization of the initial Zionist project.
Despite all the horror, there is one advantage to periods of serious crises: they reveal the true faces of those who govern and have become accustomed to hiding behind fine words. And the major advantage of the operation of the Resistance organizations "  Al- Aqsa Flood" which began in Gaza on October 7, 2023 is that in the age of the internet, it reveals to the eyes of the world all the filth of which the heralds of our democracies and their relays are capable. And for this alone, we can salute, thank and support the Palestinian Resistance for their exemplary courage.

In conclusion
The deployment of its military force in Lebanon, the plans to destroy all Palestinian life in northern Gaza, the growing stranglehold on the lands of the Palestinians of the West Bank do not change anything, the Zionist state is showing its muscles to hide the fact that it cannot achieve its goals. The Palestinians, with or without weapons, are resisting and the occupying army is in difficulty, the Zionist state itself is on the verge of collapse. The Lebanese Resistance, despite the blows it has dealt, is organizing and keeping watch. This is enough to warm the hearts of those who are fighting in their own way for the liberation of Palestine. If the goals of the Zionists are now clear, there is a long way to go!
Like all those supporters of the liberation of Palestine around the world, we continue and will continue, tirelessly, to demand an immediate and permanent ceasefire, as well as free access for humanitarians throughout the Gaza Strip, and the total withdrawal of the occupying forces from the enclave. But this will not be enough.
A just peace means the dismantling of the colonies, the return of the refugees and an independent Palestinian state. What prevents such a peace is the existence of a colonial state. The workers of Israel cannot be free if they do not break with Zionism, if they continue to find themselves objectively in the camp of the colonizers. Solidarity with Palestine cannot be satisfied with general phrases about peace. We need a state where all inhabitants enjoy the same rights and can live together, regardless of their origin, in this case, a democratic Palestinian state. Similarly, the national liberation struggle of the Palestinian people does not need compassion, but real political support and actions of internationalist solidarity. And for France, where the Revolutionaries, as elsewhere, must first fight their capitalists, this begins with the political struggle against the support of French imperialism for the Zionist colonial state.
This is why the Revolutionary Communist Party intends to continue to bring together all those who want an immediate ceasefire to end the massacre of Palestinians and who speak out for peace. For us, this means supporting the fundamental demands of the Palestinian national liberation movement, especially after the assassination of one of its leaders: an immediate end to Zionist military aggression, the right of return for refugees and the formation of a Palestinian state on the territory of Mandatory Palestine.
